If you did not already know some teams will be facing a blank game week this week (City, United, Sunderland and West Brom). To add insult to injury a whole host of teams do not have a fixture in gameweek 29. If you missed all that firstly have a look here. So due to the fact that we have a few of the usual suspects missing I am going to give you the run down of players firstly who play in gameweek 28 and 29 if like most you are looking to field more than 5 or 6 players.
Emmanuel Adebayor - £8.3m - 14.4% ownership

Next 3 GWs – CAR (h), CHE (a), ARS (h)
This man will come as no surprise as he has been along time fantasy hero/villain. With 3 goals and 1 assist within the past three gameweeks it is undeniable that he is a genuine solution to that third striker position. Cardiff arrive at White Heart Lane on Sunday having conceded 7 goals in their last 3 games and have failed to keep a clean sheet on the road since travelling to stoke in gameweek 14.Followed by two mouth watering fixtures seeing him involved in not one but two London Derbies!
John Ruddy - £5m – 4.1%ownership
Next 3 GWs – AVL (a), STK (h), SOU (a)
You will be happy to know that John Ruddy has kept 10 clean sheets so far this season, with only Cech (12),Szczesny (12) and Lloris (11) with more clean sheets.Norwich have been extremely solid at home with them only conceding 11 goals at Carrow Road. So we have a great shot stopper who within his last 3 games managed to keep clean sheets against both Tottenham and Manchester City but what makes it better is the fact that Aston Villa have failed to score in the past 3 gameweeks with Benteke’s dip in form continuing. Added to the fact that they have one ofthe best looking fixtures in gameweek 29 I think Ruddy would be a good investment but if you wanted an alternative route into Norwich’s defence look towards Martin Olsson who has played 90 minutes of every Norwich game since gameweek 6, with just 2%ownership and at 4.3m he could be the perfect cheap bench defender.
John Terry - £6.6m – 14.5%ownership
Branislav Ivanovic - £6.5m – 19.2%ownership

Next 3 GWs – FUL (a), TOT (h), AVL (a)
Next we look at Chelsea and I really want to tell you about an exciting up and comer… but I can’t as young Edin already has over 40% ownership and everyone knows who he is and how he can conjure up magic every week apart from when you risk changing your Captain’s armband to him, so we look to the back and not so young Terry and Ivanovic. Chelsea have been strong at the back with them keeping 12 clean sheets this season with 4 of those coming in the last 5 gameweeks. Both players have the ability to score with both players with 3 goals and 1 assist this season, you might want to know however that 2 ofIvanovic’s goals have come within the past 4 gameweeks. I think they are both great choices and with some favourable fixtures still to come either one (or possibly both) could be a great investment.
Wilfried Bony - £7.2m – 4.8%ownership

Next 3 GWs - CRY (h), (blank), WBA (h)
Finally we get to a player that we can get excited about with only 4.8% ownership, having him in your squad might give you the edge that you surely need.We need to of course ignore the fact that he has blank in gameweek 29 but with two home games he could still be a wise investment. Bony has 10 goals in the Premier League this season and 3 of those have come within the past 3 gameweeks. Towards the beginning of the season he was not receiving enough game time to become a permanent fixture on many managers radar but he has played 90 minutes for the past 8 game weeks.Crystal Palace have been unable to keep a clean sheet on the road in their past 3 away matches so the signs point to Swansea scoring and Bony looks like the man for the job.
Nikica Jelavic - £.6.9m – 1.5%ownership

Next 3 GWs – NEW (h), (blank), MCI (h)
I have been pleasantly surprised with Hull City all season, with them showing a lot of promise and the addition of the Croatian in the January transfer window has hugely boosted their attacking potential. With less ownership than Shane Long (3.2%) he could be a great differential for your team. Jelavic knows how to find the back of the net and with 3 goals in his last 3 games he has definitely enjoyed the game time he has received at Hull. The blank and tricky fixture of City are not ideal but if you look aheadt o game week 31 Hull have a double game week facing both West Brom (h) and West Ham (a) which could produce a huge points haul.
So there you have it the Smart Buys for gameweek 28 which have of course been influenced greatly by the upcoming fixture schedule. Make sure you have a look at the upcoming fixtures looking to gameweek 31 where currently United, City, West Ham, Hull City,Liverpool and Sunderland all have a double gameweek. Good luck this gameweek.
